B2B Sales Position – Business Development - Account Manager Position available in Brooklyn, NY.

Business Magazine Subscriptions is looking for upbeat, focused and well-organized individuals to join our new and fast-growing sales team in New York. We offer convenient cost-saving services to our clients. We offer subscription management services, a consolidated service offering one-contact for ordering, billing, and customer service for over 250,000 magazines, journals, newspapers, newsletters and electronic publications published worldwide.

You must be comfortable making dozens of cold calls a day, and committed to gaining new clients and working in a team sales environment. You must also have demonstrated experience prospecting and growing an account list, as well as closing sales. If you can bring us corporate and business accounts, we want to talk to you.

This role is responsible for all aspects of new business generation within a specific marketplace. This position will be responsible for identifying and securing new opportunities. You must have ability to articulate the high-level value proposition of outsourcing and managed services provided by our company. The Account Executive is responsible for building a positive image through an extremely professional and experienced approach to the customer over the phone.

Responsibilities will include:

* Proactively prospecting and qualifying potential new customer accounts, new industries.
* You will be in charge of the entire sales process from prospecting to close.
* Handling incoming leads. Closing sales.
* Prospecting current customers for new business.
* Meeting quarterly revenue targets.
* Quote generation for prospective client
* Grow revenues and profits in our target categories: corporate subscription management, medical office magazine subscription management, salon subscriptions
* Provide product education and training to our clients
* Attend sales meetings with our top clients/prospective clients
* You will be given freedom to innovate.
* Attends trade shows.
* Identify and implement marketing strategies

Requirements:

* 2-3 years experience in an B2B sales and/or online media environment, experience working in the following verticals (finance, healthcare, beauty industry, salons.) including at least one year of successful direct selling responsibility.
* BA/BS degree or equivalent experience coupled with intelligence.
* Inside sales and/or lead generation experience
* Focused on professional Sales career
* Goal driven/Achievement oriented/Highly self-motivated
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* 2+ years business development, sales or product management experience in the technology industry (Internet, communications or e-commerce experience is a plus).
* Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical ability.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent phone skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience with MS word and Excel, ability to work in a metrics-focused environment
* Internet savvy
* Desire to learn and develop new skills
* Self starter with 1-3 yrs BtoB sales experience, the ability to generate 400 calls per week, and proven experience in closing sales * Proven track record of closing sales.
* Minimum of 2 years selling advertising.

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to manage and lead our sales/marketing initiatives. We are also seeking a mid-career/ early-career professional to assist us in our sales department.

We compensate with a solid base salary plus aggressive sales incentives/commissions. Medical benefits and employer sponsored retirement plan are available.

Must have:
** Fire in your belly; eagerness to knock on doors.
** Willingness to learn, lead and teach
** Experience selling to corporations / opening business and corporate accounts
** Job will entail following up leads as well as developing new leads from pre-qualified sources. Must have the tenacity and mental strength to do cold selling.
** Trade show experience is a plus. Occasional travel to trade shows will be expected.
** College degree is desired but intelligence is required.
** Computer literacy is expected.
